FishWare Lodging - Available 4th Qtr 2009
LodgeWare is a new database application designed for the Fishing Lodge and Hunting Lodge industries. The application is specifically designed to show the "Big Picture" along with summary screens to facilitate easy data entry.
LodgeWare features visual calendars to help manage guest overnight Lodging, Housekeeping, Meals, Fishing or Hunting Guides and a monthly reservations calendar that shows room availability and occupancy. Each calendar features customized headers that display important summary information for that calendar.
The Weekly Reservations Calendar, shown below, shows customer reservation information including Reservation ID, Check in, Check Out, Paid status (Paid, Deposit, No Deposit), Housekeeping (red or blue border around text), room under repair and Overbooking (red background). Rooms with a white background are available for booking. The application supports multiple reservations per room.
Both management and the office staff will like the Monthly Calendar. This calendar shows occupancy for a given month including the current month through a 5 week period. This makes it easy to manage reservations for the back end of a month that extend into the next month as both are displayed on consecutive calendars. The monthly calendar shows occupancy along with payment status (Paid - PD, Deposit -$+, No Deposit -$-) and also shows rooms which are unavailable due to repairs. Seasons are displayed by color coding the weekday labels. Special events and designated holidays are shown at the bottom of the calendar (not shown). The summary information at the top of the screen displays monthly totals for bed counts, meal counts, available rooms, etc.
The weekly meals calendar will make planning meal counts and purchasing food easy for your staff. The calendar displays meal counts for each breakfast and dinner meal including a heavy red border to indicate that 1 or more guests has special meal needs such as allergies or food preferences. The meals calendar also supports special occasions and holidays allowing the chef to prepare celebrations for birthdays and anniversaries.
The Weekly Guides Calendar provides flexibility so that staff can assign guides to customer reservations. The calendar supports up to 35 guides, the staff can control which row each guide appears on so that guides that are used most frequently appear at the top of the list. The reservations are color coded to indicate guided trip information (Morning, Afternoon, Full Day and Evening). The information in the reservation also includes the total number of fisherman or hunters along with the location of the guided trip. The Guides calendar can also be used to schedule designated days off for Guides (blue background).
Housekeeping is an important part of running a lodge. LodgeWare provides housekeeping information on both the Weekly Reservations Calendar shown above and in the dedicated Housekeeping Calendar. Notes that housekeepers need to be aware are also displayed so that staff knows which rooms need to be processed and whether repairs or specialized attention is needed. The Weekly Reservations Calendar and Housekeeping Calendars both highlight rooms which need to be turned quickly as one guest is checking out in the morning followed by a new guest that night. Housekeeping also displays a visual difference between a housekeeping scheduled for a check out vs a clean up for a guest who is continuing a stay.
Individual Guide calendars supplement the master Guide Schedule. Calendars show trip information including type of trip (location), Customer name and color coding for trip start time. Guide calendars can be easily emailed to the Guide from within the FishWare application (emails automatically placed into the Outlook outbox).
